My familiarity with the Forgotten Coast dates back to 1968, the year I first moved to Tallahassee after graduation from the University of Georgia. Having grown up a block from the beach in Gulfport, MS, I was naturally drawn to the fishing and boating opportunities offered in this area. Constant visitors over the years, my wife Nancy and I finally purchased a home in the Lanark area in 1999. Although I received my Real Estate license in the late seventies, I enjoyed a 35-year career as a landscape architect and environmental scientist with the state of Florida.
